Grower Contracts Current, Future / Forward Hay Contract Market

Here buyer and sellers can List future contracts to buy or sell. 

How Does It Work? 

For Hay Buyers: Buyer provides the details of the contract, ie. 1500 tons of Alfalfa, 18-20  CP, 140- 170 RFV, future date, time frame of fulfillment and location of delivery, big or small bales and any other relevant details.

Growers can then accept the contract or make a different offer to fulfill the future contract. 

Swift Harvest takes a standard brokerage fee of 15% unless you are a Swift Harvest member and get an additional discount. A deposit of 30% of the total is required by the buyer 48hr from sale unless otherwise specified in the contract terms. Once the contract is mature product from the grower matching contract requirements will be shower to the owner of the future contract for approval or rejection. All rejected product will simply go back to market. Approved product will be shipped or picked up. Once all product has been moved the contract has been fulfilled and is completed. If the buyer needs, delivery can be arranged and freight cost will be calculated separately from cost of goods.  

Future Contracts can be bought and sold before the mutation date.

1. a set listing price

2. make a different offer

3. the contract can be placed on auction.

ie 1500 ton haul from Poston az to bakers field California X Date $60 a ton Buy now or make an offer.  

Only registered Hay Haulers will be eligible to win a hay hauling contract.
